BHSU - College of Education Physical Location of Position (City): Spearfish Posting Text Black Hills State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology faculty position. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the College of Education beginning August 2026, with an option to start in January 2027. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service; will have the ability to connect theory to practice; will work well in collaborative settings; and will have the desire/ability to make connections with local educational entities.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in education foundations and educational psychology.
- Supervising teacher candidates in clinical experiences.
- Advising and mentoring undergraduate students.
- Engaging in appropriate research and scholarly activities.
- Participating in or leading service activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate (Ph.
D.) with an emphasis in Educational Psychology or Curriculum & Instruction.
- ABD at time of application may be considered.
- A minimum of three (3) years of successful P-12 teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with online or hybrid instruction.
- Experience teaching in higher education.
- Experience with program assessment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
