Job Description

We are seeking our next Adjunct Faculty - Psychology - Hereford who will be all-in our mission and who is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Psychology courses at the Hinkson Memorial Campus (Hereford). Teaching responsibilities include classroom, online, hybrid, dual credit, and other technology-supported formats, as assigned. Responsibilities include course preparation, instructional delivery, student engagement, assessment of student learning, and timely completion of required academic and administrative responsibilities in accordance with College standards. This position is filled on an as need basis, contingent upon institutional needs.
EDUCATION
:
Required:
Master's Degree in Psychology or a Master's degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Psychology or a closely related field, including but not limited to: Psychology, Counseling, Experimental Psychology or Educational Psychology.
Preferred:
Doctorate Degree in Psychology or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred:
One (1) year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Teach assigned Psychology courses utilizing appropriate and engaging instructional methods. Prepare and deliver organized instruction in accordance with approved course outlines and institutional standards. Develop and maintain course syllabi and instructional materials. Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback to support student success. Maintain accurate and timely records of attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Demonstrate competence in the use of instructional technology and learning management systems. Teach day, evening, off-campus, dual credit, online, and technology-supported courses as assigned. Participate in required meetings, trainings, orientations, and professional development activities. Comply with College policies, procedures, and academic standards. Perform other work-related duties as required. Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies up to twenty-five (25) pounds as needed.
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events if necessary).
Working Environment:
This job may operate in a classroom, online, or tech supported setting. This role routinely uses standard classroom and office equipment such as microphones, audio/video-recorders, computers, overhead projectors, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets and fax machines.
