Job Description:
The Psychology Department at Our Lady of the LakeUniversity in San Antonio invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant / Associate Professor rank toprimarily serve the APA-accredited Counseling Psychology PsyD program beginning August 2026. The OLLU Psychology Department offersthe following degrees: PsyD in Counseling Psychology and MS in Psychology, with concentrations in Marriage and Family Therapy and SchoolPsychology. The mission of the psychology graduate programs is to prepare culturally competent professionals who are skilled in providingstrengths-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families from diverse backgrounds. Graduate students may complete a certificate inproviding psychological services in Spanish. The Psychology Department operates a community-based clinic that serves a low-income,multi-ethnic, population presenting with wide-ranging concerns. The clinic offers opportunities for innovative practice, training, andresearch Position duties include, but are not limited to: Teaching masters anddoctoral students from Strength-Based, Solution-Focused, Narrative and/or Collaborative Theories with an emphasis on multiculturalism andsocial justice. Providing "live" supervision (from a Systemic theory-base) to a weekly therapy team at the university-sponsoredclinic. Chairing and serving on dissertation committees. Academic advising and mentoring of students. Evaluating student comprehensive and clinical qualifying exams. Engaging in program activities such as student recruitment,interviews, program evaluation. Conducting and engaging students in research and scholarly activities. Serving onuniversity committees. Possible courses to be taught may include: (courses may benegotiated) Assessment Courses Life Planning and Career Development Human Development Across theLifespan Research Methods Cognition & Emotion Behavioral Neuroscience Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree inCounseling Psychology from an APA accredited program; Licensed or License-Eligible as a Psychologist in Texas Expertisein teaching graduate & doctoral students & Expertise in supervision Expertise in qualitative research methods Expertisein brief, systemic, strengths-based approaches to psychotherapy -Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching and supervising graduate and doctoralstudents AAMFT approved supervisor or eligible to become a supervisor in training Proficient in Spanish Licensed as a psychologist in Texas within one year or hire (if not licensed)Additional Information:
