School Of Education Job Description Summary:
The department of School Psychology and Counselor Education is recruiting a pool of persons for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 semesters to be considered for possible adjunct teaching positions in our master's and education specialist program in school psychology, our master's degree program in counseling (clinical mental health, addictions, school counseling, and military and veterans counseling), and in our doctoral degree program in counselor education. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises and is contingent upon funding. Your credentials will remain active as long as this pool is available. If you are still interested once this pool is closed, you must resubmit your application materials to the most current adjunct pool. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Hired candidates are required to provide official transcripts prior to the contracted start date. The review of applications is ongoing. We will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this vacancy.
Position responsibilities include:
1. Fulfill all aspects of the designated course outline. 2. Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner. 3. Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner. 4. Submit final grades according to the School of Education policy.
Job Description:
Required Qualifications Successful completion of a terminal degree in counselor education, school psychology, or a related field. Applicants for the MED in counseling must have a Ph.D. in Counselor Education. For those applicants for school psychology without a terminal degree, qualifications must include those enumerated in the Faculty Qualifications Manual for Alternate Methods of Qualifying Faculty to Teach. Preferred Qualifications College teaching experience in school psychology, school counseling, counseling (e.g., clinical mental health, military veterans, relationship, marriage, and family), counselor education (Ph.D.), or related field. Please indicate in your cover letter the program(s) in which you have expertise. School Psychology Counseling Counselor Education School Counseling Research Methods Applicants are required to upload a CV, cover letter detailing which program(s) they have expertise, and unofficial transcripts.
