Job Summary:
The Literacy Interventionist/ Coach is responsible for ensuring the fidelity and state compliance of the school's scientifically based literacy programs and the Comprehensive Evidence-Based Reading Plan (CERP). The Coach acts as the MTSS Coordinator, managing all MTSS meetings, documentation, and the school's Problem-Solving Process. A key function involves data analysis, using diagnostics and benchmark assessments to properly tier all incoming and current students into appropriate intervention levels (Tiers 1, 2, and 3), and directly teaching Tier 2 and Tier 3 Intensive Reading and ESOL Developmental classes. The Literacy/Interventionist Coach drives instructional improvement by modeling lessons, facilitating school-wide PLCs on literacy strategies, and mentoring teachers on
ELA BEST
standards and the Science of Reading.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree; Appropriate teacher certification; Reading Endorsed or willing to acquire Reading Certification and add to state certification; Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook.
