The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing targeted support and intervention to students who require additional assistance in their academic journey. This role is crucial in fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed. The Intervention Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other educational staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Responsibilities
  • Assess and identify students' academic needs through various evaluation methods and data analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that align with students' specific learning goals.
  • Provide small group and one-on-one instruction to students in reading, math, and other subjects as needed.
  • Monitor and track student progress regularly, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate intervention strategies into the general curriculum.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support at home.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional practices and stay current with educational trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments, interventions, and progress reports.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and motivation.
  • Work with school administration and support staff to coordinate resources and services for students. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification or licensure in the relevant subject area.
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in a role focused on intervention or support.
  • Strong understanding of various instructional strategies and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional decisions.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and software to enhance instruction and track student progress.
