Aug 31, 2026 Job Description COMPASS school is seeking a Reading Specialist who will work as part of a team to support elementary, middle, and high school students who have emotional/behavioral disorders along with specific learning disabilities. Students range from 6-21 years of age. Classrooms are staffed with a 6 student to 1 teacher ratio.
Responsibilities:
Work 1:1 with students to develop reading skills while implementing IEP goals Work in small groups with students to develop reading skills while implementing IEP goals Assessment of student reading performance Completing required paperwork Attend IEP meetings Consult with classroom teachers
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required, Master's degree preferred Licensure in Reading or Special Education required
