Jul 6, 2026 Job Description Mohawk Trail Regional School District's Extended School Year Summer Program Hosted by Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School The Extended School Year (ESY) is a four-week summer program designed for elementary-aged students with disabilities whose Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams have determined they are at risk of substantial skill regression over the summer. ESY provides targeted instruction to strengthen and maintain key skills outlined in students' IEPs. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where students can continue to grow, both academically and socially.
Dates:
July 6th to July 31st, Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 3:30
Location:
Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School, 75 Mechanic Street, Shelburne Falls
Open Positions:
Academic Lead Teachers:
PK-6. We need enthusiastic teachers to provide academic instruction and plan age- and skill-appropriate activities for students. Teachers will be asked to provide 1:1, small-group, and/or whole-group instruction, depending on need. Academic Teachers will earn $40 per hour. Certified teachers preferred.
Special Education Paraprofessionals:
PK-6- We need dedicated paraprofessionals to support students who are working towards individualized goals in academics and social-emotional skills. The hourly rate of pay will be provided in accordance with the Unit B Contract.
Range:
$18.21 to 33.38
Summer Program Assistants:
Seeking energetic and compassionate Assistants to support recreational programming for our students, as well as supervise meal times and outdoor activities. Teens are strongly encouraged to apply! Previous experience working with children is not required. This is a great opportunity to gain experience. $18 per hour.
Speech Language Therapist:
Licensed speech/language pathologist needed to provide both 1:1 and small group services. $40 per hour. Preference will be given to candidates with: teaching or paraprofessional experience experience working in early childhood education MA teacher certification or speech/language certification availability to work for all 4 weeks Part-time and full-time positions are available.
