Yesterday Job Description MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic Literacy Interventionist to join its instructional staff at H.B.Emery Elementary in Limington, Maine, for the 2026-2027 school year. The Literacy Interventionist provides targeted reading and writing instruction to students who require additional academic support. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families, the Literacy Interventionist uses evidence-based instructional practices and assessment data to accelerate student literacy growth while supporting the school's overall literacy goals. Applicants for this position must have a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or matriculation in a Master's Degree Program preferred; Maine Department of Education certification (preference may be given to candidates who hold any of the following endorsements: #020, #092, #078, #100, #300, #690, #040, or #045); minimum of three (3) year's classroom teaching experience, experience in research-based instructional practices, experience providing or presenting professional development opportunities and a background in facilitation and leading adult learning groups; familiarity with Marzano's classroom-based instructional model; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
