Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic educational team as an Online and In-Person Reading Teacher, where your passion for literacy and language learning will inspire students of all ages. This role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging, personalized instruction both virtually and possibly face-to-face, fostering a love for reading and writing across diverse learner populations. You will play a vital part in helping students develop essential literacy skills, adapt teaching methods to individual needs, and utilize innovative learning technologies to enhance their educational experience. While working with students between 6 and 12 years old, your expertise will create a positive, motivating environment that promotes growth and confidence. Responsibilities Design and implement individualized reading and literacy lesson plans tailored to each student's unique learning style and goals Conduct engaging tutoring sessions via e-learning platforms and in person, ensuring active participation and progress tracking through lesson summaries Develop curriculum materials that incorporate current literacy education best practices Utilize various learning technologies and instructional tools to enhance comprehension, fluency, and writing skills Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, adjusting instruction accordingly Support classroom management during in-person sessions to foster a respectful, focused learning environment Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or other educators to communicate student achievements and areas for improvement Skills Proven experience in teaching reading, literacy education, or language arts across grades 1-6 Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to individual learner needs Familiarity with e-learning platforms, learning technology tools, and online instructional methods Experience working with students with dyslexia is highly desirable Demonstrated instructional adaptability to meet varied learning styles and challenges Classroom management skills for both virtual environments and in-person settings Background in education is advantageous Ability to foster a supportive environment for children's academic and emotional growth Join us in making a meaningful difference by empowering students through literacy!
