Job Description

Description Springfield College invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Occupational Therapy. The Department is seeking individuals who are passionate about the profession and support our goal to prepare professionals for leadership in the use of human occupation to promote people's participation in meaningful life roles and activities. Adjunct positions may teach in our undergraduate, MSOT and/or OTD programs. Available opportunities may include Neurology, Adult/older adult rehabilitation, Management/Entrepreneurship, Research/Evidence Based Practice, and Fieldwork preparation seminars. Compensation for adjunct faculty with fewer than 3 years college teaching experience is $2820 for a 3-credit course Compensation for adjunct faculty with 3 or more years college teaching experience is $3513 for a 3-credit course. Responsibilities Teach and facilitate lecture and/or lab courses within the Department of Occupational Therapy at our Springfield College Campus. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on assignments and discussions. Facilitate active communication with students to support their learning and professional growth. Collaborate with the OT Program Director and other faculty to ensure course content meets program standards and objectives. Participate in curriculum development and course revision as needed.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Initial certification as an occupational therapist OT Licensure or eligible for OT licensure in Massachusetts Strong commitment to student success and academic excellence Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Documented experience in content area of course focus Must reside in one of the following states:
MA, CT, WI, DE, TX, VT, FL
Preferred Qualifications:
At Least 1 year of clinical experience Previous teaching experience and/or serving as a fieldwork educator Familiarity with online learning systems such as
