Job Description:
Summary:
Immaculata University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Allied Health faculty member within the Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences. The successful candidate shall have an earned doctorate, experience in the healthcare setting, and a strong desire to teach and mentor future healthcare professionals. This allied health faculty member will teach courses within the areas of allied health and healthcare management and serve as the Program Director for the growing Allied Health major. In addition to teaching and overseeing the allied health program, responsibilities include student recruitment and advisement, program assessment, department/university service, and scholarship endeavors.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver undergraduate allied health and healthcare management, ensuring that content is current and aligns with university mission and strategic plan. Design and implement assessments to evaluate student learning outcomes effectively. Participate in the ongoing implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of the allied health programs and all related affiliated programs Teach across the allied health and healthcare management courses assigned by the department chair. Provide academic advising to allied health and healthcare management students and mentor them in their professional development. Participate in university committees, and Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences and campus events to support institutional goals and community engagement. Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Doctorate degree Professional experience in an allied health specialty area Educational background and experience with education of future healthcare professionals
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in administration of allied health programs A candidate who is ABD with considerable allied health or education experience may be considered. A candidate with a doctorate will qualify for the rank of assistant professor.
