The School of Preventive and Therapeutic Sciences of the College of Health offers Occupational Endorsement Certificates, Undergraduate Certificates, Associate of Applied Science degrees, and Bachelor degrees. Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of their specific field and potential for providing high quality instruction to a diverse undergraduate student population. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, faculty, administration and the general public. Distance delivery is an important part of the UAA Program; applicant must have the ability to provide classroom instruction and/or clinical teaching in courses pertinent to health fields in a traditional and distant delivery environment. Distance instructional design support is available. Candidate must be capable of enhancing community partnerships with health care partners. Experience in curriculum development, web-based course design and delivery, technology use in the classroom, as well as didactic classroom instruction is preferred. Experience in clinical education of students and clinical sites, student evaluation, advising and counseling in professional discipline are desired. Experience leading or working in a multi-cultural setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Significant experience in health-related field required.

Adjunct positions are hired on a semester-by-semester appointment.
