Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Science Teacher Consultant to join our team and drive excellence in science education. In this role, you will serve as a vital resource for educators, incorporating AR AIMS resources with current district curriculum development, instructional strategies, and the integration of learning technologies. Your energetic approach will inspire teachers to elevate their practice, foster student engagement, and implement innovative science teaching methods. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence educational outcomes and support professional growth within diverse learning environments.
Responsibilities:
Mentor/Coach teachers in science content areas Working with AP and/or non-AP science high school teachers Model lessons for teachers and students Observe and give constructive feedback in a coaching/mentoring teacher relationship Assist teachers in finding and incorporating new resources Incorporating AR AIMS resources with current district curriculum resources Assist teachers in pacing, lesson planning, and instructional practices for science, including lab prep and implementation Assist teachers in the best science classroom practices for teaching and learning science using the 5-E Inquiry Cycle and the three-dimensional model of NGSS Science Standards Completing reports and following up with teachers and administrators. Reports are completed through Google Drive and Google Documents. Set Up/Lead/Attend virtual meetings through Zoom Qualifications Proven experience in teaching science at various grade levels with a strong classroom background. 10+ teaching experience Expertise in classroom technology Demonstrated ability to facilitate teacher training/modeling sessions and professional development programs effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse audiences of educators and students Knowledge of instructional leadership in education settings and experience with content development Additional Information AR AIMS is NOT part of ARTRS This position is at-will and part-time Join us to empower educators through innovative science instruction, cutting-edge technology integration, and impactful professional development!
