Essential Elements:
Print Position Overview As a Physics Teacher at Servite High School, the candidate will: Teach five periods per day , with the ability to teach multiple levels of physics, which may include: Physical Science CP Physics (Basic - Algebra based) HP Physics (Honors - Trig based)
AP Physics C:
Mechanics (Calculus based) Design and deliver engaging lessons that emphasize conceptual understanding, scientific inquiry, and real-world application. Support students in developing strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in physics. Incorporate laboratory experiments and hands-on investigations to deepen student learning and engagement. Collaborate with the Science Department and administration to align curriculum, assessments, and instructional practices. Integrate Servite's Catholic mission and values into classroom culture and instruction. Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the life of the school community. Ideal Candidate We are looking for a candidate who: Is passionate about teaching physics and helping students develop as critical thinkers and problem-solvers. Demonstrates strong content knowledge and the ability to teach multiple levels of high school physics , including AP coursework. Is highly organized, student-centered, and able to engage motivated learners. Has prior teaching experience (preferred), including experience with honors and/or AP-level courses. Candidate should hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Physics or a related field.

A California Teaching Credential is preferred, but not required.
