Social Science Instructor

St. Pius X- St. Matthias Academy is seeking a full-time Social Science instructor for the 2026-2027 school year who can teach all levels of Social Science coursework, grades 9-12. St. Pius X - St. Matthias Academy, located in Downey, California, offers a Catholic university experience for teenagers. We believe that a college education is a right rather than a privilege. Requirements Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, or related subject is required. Master's degree and/or single subject credential preferred. Three years of teaching high school students in the subject area is preferred. Preference is given to practicing Roman Catholics. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
