Masterprep Academy-Irvine LLC seeks:

Chemistry Teacher:

Course planning, prepn & evaln of student performance; prep/deliver lectures to undergrad/grad students in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry & chemical separation; establish, teach & monitor compliance w/ safety rules for handling chemicals, eqpmt & hazard mat'ls; eval/grade class work, lab performance, assignments, papers & exams; supervs lab, teaching, internship & rsrch work; maint attendance, grades & req'd records; compile/admin exams or assign such work; prep course mat'ls, incl syllabi, homework & handouts; plan, eval & revise curricula, course content, course mat'ls & instructional mthds; maint sched office hrs to advise/assist students; initiate, facilitate & moderate classroom discussions; write grant proposals to obtain external rsrch funding; conduct rsrch & publish findings in prof'l journals, books or electronic media; remain current in the field thru literature, colleagues & prof'l conferences; advise students on academic/vocational curricula & career issues; select, order & maint teaching/rsrch mat'ls & supplies, incl textbooks, chemicals & lab eqpmt; collab w/ colleagues on teaching/rsrch issues; write student recommn letters; prep/submit instructional reports; serve on academic/admin committees concerning institutional policies, dept matters & academic issues; participate in campus/community events; act as adviser to student organizations; compile bibliographies of specialized mat'ls for outside reading assignments; provide prof'l consulting srvcs to govt or ind.

Reqmts:

Master's in Chemistry or rltd & 2 yrs of exp. $77,550/yr.
