Join our dynamic educational team as a Biology and Science teacher team, where you will inspire and empower students to excel in their scientific pursuits. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in biology, and related sciences to help students of all ages from K-12 grasp complex concepts and develop critical thinking skills. Whether working with middle school students preparing for exams, high school students tackling advanced AP coursework and seeking to deepen their understanding, your enthusiasm and knowledge will make a meaningful difference. Develop engaging and comprehensive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs across biology, and related subjects such as biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. Utilize innovative learning software and digital resources to enhance understanding and retention of scientific concepts. Provide one-on-one in a 3:1 student-teacher ratio group tutoring sessions focused on subjects including math, general chemistry, and biology subject. Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and discussions; adjust teaching strategies accordingly to maximize learning outcomes. Demonstrate classroom management skills by creating a positive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence. Collaborate with students to develop effective study habits and test-taking strategies for both academic exams and standardized assessments. Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student progress reports, and curriculum development efforts to ensure continuous improvement. Proven experience in tutoring or teaching science subjects at various educational levels; classroom experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of chemistry (including organic chemistry), biology (including genetics and microbiology), and Math up to Algebra 1 Familiarity with curriculum development tools and learning technology platforms to facilitate interactive lessons. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in online educational software like zoom. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and teenagers across diverse backgrounds. BA in Biology or Science field with high SAT score is preferred.

$34.00 - $35.00 per hour
