Job Description
Chemistry Teacher (1-to-1 & AP Chemistry) Premier Academy Walnut is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. Depending on your experience and expertise, you may teach High School Chemistry , Honours Chemistry , AP Chemistry , or a combination of these programmes through personalised 1-to-1 instruction. If you enjoy helping students understand challenging scientific concepts and achieve academic success, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Teach personalised 1-to-1 Chemistry lessons based on your experience and teaching assignments. Deliver engaging lessons using Premier Academy's curriculum and teaching materials. Support students across a range of Chemistry programmes, from High School Chemistry to AP Chemistry, based on your experience and teaching assignments. Strengthen students' understanding of chemical concepts, scientific reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Prepare students for school assessments, AP examinations, and long-term academic success. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the management team. Adapt teaching strategies to meet each student's learning needs and academic goals. Create a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Education, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Passion for teaching and helping students achieve academic success. Ability to explain chemistry concepts clearly and effectively. Well-organised, reliable, professional, and punctual. Comfortable teaching one or more Chemistry programmes based on your experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching one or more of the following: High School Chemistry, Honours Chemistry, AP Chemistry, or college-level Chemistry. Strong knowledge of the Walnut Valley Unified School District (WVUSD), including local schools, academic pathways, and Chemistry curriculum. Experience teaching in a tutoring centre, private school, or educational setting. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly preferred, especially English and Mandarin. Why Join Premier Academy?
