education curriculum Teaching science Experience working with elementary school students Full Job Description Mad Science of CT is seeking to hire 4 individuals who will be trained to offer 1-hour STEM workshops at elementary schools in lower Fairfield County (Norwalk, Bridgeport). Each individual will run 3 or 4 back-to-back 1-hour workshops per day, at one specific school. This special grant funded offering will run for a period of 3 years (Until 2029). At $35 per hour, potential recruits will earn a minimum of $105
  • $140 per day for 3
  • 4 hours of work, or $525
  • $700 per week, if candidates want to work every day (Mileage reimbursement extra, depending on location).
Chosen candidates who perform as required by Mad Science will secure this guaranteed income for at least 3 years. Applicants must have their own car, must be organized, punctual, enthusiastic, and must enjoy working with kids. No previous teaching or science knowledge required. We will provide full paid training. Candidates who are looking for a long term employment opportunity will be given priority. This is NOT a seasonal assignment. Program to start at the beginning of 2026-2027 school year (September or October 2026).
