DESCRIPTION
Naval Science JROTC Instructor (NJROTC) in a comprehensive high school. The NJROTC is the senior commissioned officer employed by the school, who teaches NJROTC cadets, and who organizes and chaperones appropriate field trips, ceremonies, and other activities. The NJROTC collaborates with the faculty and support staff of Brien McMahon High School.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Retired Military officer with a bachelor's degree, who is also certified by the Navy to serve in the NJROTC program or is eligible for certification. Eligibility for the Connecticut State Department of Education teaching certification is a plus. Some experience as an instructor. Proven ability to interact with adolescents and the ability to work cooperatively with other high school staff. Ability to teach and motivate students. The NJROTC is a commissioned officer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
