Upper School Science and English Teacher Community Christian Academy - 4.2 Stuart, FL Job Details Full-time $36,000 - $40,000 a year 6 hours ago Qualifications Behavioral standards enforcement in schools Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description We are seeking an Upper School Science & English Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year who desires to serve in a Christ-centered environment alongside supportive leadership and a unified, encouraging team. Job Overview An Upper School Science & English Teacher at Community Christian Academy will: Teach both Science and English courses to students in grades 7-12 Provide a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth Establish effective rapport with students Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary for academic success and spiritual growth Encourage critical thinking and strong communication skills through engaging instruction Establish good relationships with parents and fellow staff members Integrate biblical truth into daily instruction and classroom culture Qualifications Must have a faithful testimony of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Must believe that the Bible is God's Word and standard for faith and daily living. Must be in support of Community Christian Academy's Statement of Faith (ccacougars.net/statement-of-faith) Show by example the importance of prayer, Scripture memorization and study, witnessing, and unity in Christian fellowship. Follows biblical principles of restoration in dealing with students, administration, and staff. Encourages and directs students in Christian service and personal responsibility. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills required. Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students is preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Responsibilities Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: Teach assigned Upper School Science and English courses utilizing curriculum approved by Administration and appropriate instructional methods. Develop lesson plans, classroom activities, projects, and assessments that support student learning and engagement. Provide individualized and small-group instruction when needed to help students succeed academically. Use a variety of instructional strategies including lecture, discussion, inquiry, projects, and collaborative learning activities. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior necessary to create a functional and orderly classroom atmosphere. Evaluate students' academic progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare progress reports. Communicate with parents through email and other means regarding student progress and classroom expectations. Identify student needs and cooperate with administration and staff in supporting students academically and spiritually. Encourage students in the development of strong study habits, responsibility, and Christlike character. Assist with supervision responsibilities and participate in school activities and events as assigned. Participate in maintaining cleanliness and order within the classroom and school environment.
