Science Teacher Job Overview Genesis Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines, including Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Mathematics, from a Biblical worldview. Teaching to engage students in a dynamic learning environment. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring students and fostering a love for science in a christian school setting. "We are committed to fostering STEM education with a Biblical worldview at all academic levels, from elementary through high school. Our curriculum integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to inspire and prepare students for future success in these critical fields. Candidates should be passionate about promoting STEM learning and capable of adapting lessons to suit diverse age groups and learning styles." Science Teacher Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover key concepts in Science, including Algebra, Trigonometry, Biochemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Conduct laboratory experiments and dissections, ensuring a safe and educational environment for all students. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and curiosity. Mentor students individually and in groups to enhance their understanding of scientific principles with a biblical worldview. Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate cross-disciplinary approaches into the curriculum. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance metrics. Science Teacher Experience A degree in Science with a focus on Physical and Forensic Science is preferred. Previous teaching experience in a private school setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to students. Experience with classroom management techniques that promote an inclusive learning environment. A passion for mentoring students and helping them achieve their academic goals.
