Operating across seven Midwest states, Concept Schools manages 30 public charter schools, serving over 13,000 students with nearly 2,000 staff members. HSA McKinley Park, located in Chicago, IL, opened in 2013 and serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The school is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and preparing students for success in higher education and beyond. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a High School Physics Teacher at Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park High in Chicago, IL. The teacher will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging physics lessons, creating and implementing effective lesson plans, and evaluating student performance. Additional duties include fostering critical thinking, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student achievement. Qualifications Expertise in Physics and Physics Education to effectively deliver subject matter knowledge. Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Teaching to design and implement clear and engaging instructional activities. Strong foundational understanding of Mathematics to support physics concepts and problem-solving. Commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment and encouraging student participation. Bachelor's degree in Physics, Education, or a related field; teaching certification in secondary education is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
