By integrating the strengths of Everstone and Black Bear Academy into a single program, we offer the best of both worlds: evidence-based academics tailored to students with learning differences—including, but not limited to, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia—alongside individualized clinical support. This combination empowers each student to succeed in the classroom environment, even if previously they have faced challenges in traditional settings.

PM, Monday-Friday Dates:
June 15-July 24, 2026
Payment:
$6,000 (stipend paid in 3 equal installments)
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on student needs and goals Provide direct academic intervention to small groups of students Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and other relevant information in compliance with legal and professional standards Contribute to students' end of summer progress report as directed by the Site Director Respond to team and parent/guardian communication within 24 hours
Skills & Competencies:
Required:
Learning Behavior Specialist 1 Highly skilled with behavior management for complex students Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to design and adapt individualized, evidence-based intervention plans Cultural competence and respect for diverse student backgrounds Data-driven decision-making and progress monitoring Empathy, patience, and a student-centered approach Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
