Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate science endorsement(s) Experience developing and implementing effective grade-level curriculum and instruction Proficient in delivering clear, engaging lessons and cultivating classroom participation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Teach 6th grade science concepts in line with state and district academic standards Employ innovative instructional strategies to promote critical thinking and problem-solving Design lesson plans tailored to diverse student learning needs Evaluate and support student academic progress through assessments and feedback Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to enhance educational outcomes Establish strong rapport with students, encouraging curiosity and scientific inquiry Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance This contract role focuses entirely on onsite teaching—remote or virtual options are not available.
