Ipswich Educators' Association Position Summary Ipswich Middle School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic full time Mathematics and Science Teacher. The Ipswich Schools seek passionate, innovative candidates who value high student engagement, collaborative teamwork and professional growth.
Responsibilities include:
Creating a welcoming, differentiated and inclusive learning environment that supports the learning styles and emotional needs of all students. Collaboration with the special education teacher and support staff as a part of the full inclusion teaching model. Collaborating with the grade level and school-based STEAM teams: Mathematics and Science, to design and implement engaging interdisciplinary STEAM lessons and units that are aligned to the Massachusetts and Science Frameworks. Creating and leading place- based educational experiences for students that connect science curriculum to local natural resources. Monitoring student progress using formative and summative measures and designing effective interventions. Communicating and involving parents and families regarding academic content, expectations, progress and support. Participating in professional development opportunities offered by the district. Attending to all professional duties and responsibilities. Qualifications The successful candidate would preferably hold current Mathematics and Science licenses for the state of Massachusetts and have experience teaching at the middle school level, however we will interview those candidates who hold a license in Mathematics or Science and are interested in obtaining the other license.
