Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Pentucket Regional School District MSHS Science Teacher __________________________________________________________________ The Middle High School Science Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering effective science instruction to students primarily in grades 7-8 with the possibility of teaching in grades 9-12. The teacher will foster a positive learning environment that supports critical thinking, problem-solving, and mastery of science concepts.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field. Possession of a science teaching license through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at the middle and/or high school level. SEI Endorsement. Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with data-driven instruction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check (C.O.R.I.) and fingerprint check. Reports to: Building PrincipalWork Year:

Per the negotiated PAT contractKey Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district science standards. Teach science concepts appropriate to the grade level, including topics in physical science, earth science, life science, and technology/engineering. Use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Assess student understanding regularly through quizzes, tests, projects, and formative assessments. Provide timely feedback and support to help students improve their mathematical skills. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, including those with IEPs or English language learners. Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and student engagement. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and communication. Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and families to support student success. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning.Physical and Environmental Demands:
