SUPERVISOR/MANAGER:

Reports to Principal

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for lesson planning, teaching, and assessing science skills and content as well as forming students in a manner consistent with a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in related content area required. Master's Degree and state certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Student teaching or similar experience required. 3-5 years teaching experience preferred. Background with Chemistry and/or Physics is a priority. Background working with students with diverse learning needs is a priority.

SKILLS:

Ability to plan and deliver effective lesson plans, assess student learning, work as a member of a collaborative team, communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, enforce school policies, and follow school procedures. Ability to effective leverage technology in performance of duties.

REQUIRED WORK HOURS

Full time, 10-month, exempt.

SALARY:

$44,000.00 to $100,000.00 NON

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS

The annual base salary range is commensurate with experience. Good Counsel offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, a 403(b) retirement savings plan, tuition remission (after three years), daily lunch, accrued vacation and sick time, and school holidays.

Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is a private, Catholic, college preparatory, coeducational high school in Olney, Maryland. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. Operated under the sponsorship of the Xaverian Brothers, Good Counsel offers students in grades nine through twelve a wide array of programs and activities that advance academic excellence, foster spiritual growth, and encourage leadership and service to others.
