Brief Job Duties:

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: + Develops and administers science curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives. + Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to provide customized, small and large group instruction. + Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning. + Build relationships with students to help encourage success, increase self-esteem and cultivate a sense of belonging in school and community. + Course load may include Chemistry and Introduction to Physical Science. Certification/License:

Eligible for appropriate Maine Department of Education certification. 350S (Required). Dual certification preferred. Must meet federal definition of a Highly Qualified teacher for the position assigned. Criminal History Record Check ( CHRC ), which includes Fingerprints on file with the

Bachelor of Science Physical Science Masters Degree in related area preferred.

Experience:

Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.
