Job Description
Circuit Lab (www.circuit-lab.com) is seeking a creative, hands-on educator to lead electronics and computer programming summer classes at class sites including Kennebunkport, Brunswick, and Cape Elizabeth, ME, and Hampton and Concord, NH. This will be a great fit if you are an enthusiastic STEM teacher who enjoys working with elementary-and middle-school age students, and you have classroom management skills from at least 6 months of prior experience leading classrooms or summer camp programs. It is also a bonus if you have a background in the fields of electronics, robotics, computer science, or engineering. If you have less teaching experience, please take a look at our assistant instructor roles, advertised separately. In Circuit Lab classes, you will have the opportunity to put your skills to work leading students through a variety of hands-on STEM projects that introduce them to new technical, creative, and problem solving skills. You will travel to class sites in different towns to run week-long daytime programs (35-40 hours per week, Mon-Fri) throughout the summer for small groups of students. The anticipated start date for the position is June 15, 2026. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. We have a paid training period to help you get familiar with the curriculum and teaching style before leading classes. To apply, please send a resume and a cover letter outlining your teaching and/or electronics experience, including age groups and class sizes that you have worked with. Let us know what excites you about working with kids and teaching them about technology!
