35 a month 12 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree Full Job Description Job Function Macomb Community College Adjunct Faculty demonstrate deep subject matter knowledge and provide effective instruction to students using various modalities including, but not limited to, on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. Adjunct Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication, feedback, and assessment of student learning. Job Responsibilities Teach a combination of Biology courses including General Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, and Environmental Science as assigned by the department. Propose and create new courses, refine and modify existing courses, assist in course assessments of student academic achievement, identify teaching and lab materials for assigned classes Maintain course materials in the College's Learning Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, announcement, syllabus, and gradebook. Keep gradebook up to date and submit final grades by published deadlines. Participate and actively cooperate with the department and Academic & Workforce Education to meet accreditation standards. Assist in facilitating student clinical and or lab experiences as assigned and applicable. Participate in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned. Complete training for various instructional delivery modalities as required. Maintain faculty credentials as required by the College's accrediting agencies. Attend Faculty Development Days and/or Institutional Development Days as schedule permits and applicable. Participate in Academic and Workforce Education committees as schedule permits. Other duties as assigned in compliance with the AAFMCC collective bargaining agreement. Education Master's degree in the teaching discipline or related field; or Master's degree in any discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline or related field. Qualifications Teaching experience preferred.
