Position Details Position Summary:

Western Middle School is seeking one (1) full-time 7th Grade teacher with an endorsement in Science (DX or DI) for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Science curriculum to 7th grade students while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Posting is open until filled.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

Curriculum Delivery:

Responsible for delivering the Science curriculum to 7th grade students.

Student Engagement:

Ability to connect meaningfully with middle school students.

Collaboration:

Actively participate in a Professional Learning Community (PLC).

Subject Expertise:

Possess specific subject area knowledge in Science.

Communication:

Regularly communicate with students, families, staff, and other stakeholders.

Problem Solving:

Strong ability to problem-solve and seek creative solutions.

Qualifications:

Certification:

Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.

Endorsement:

Must have an endorsement in Science (DX or DI).

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
