The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science through engaging lessons and hands-on experiments. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and a love for inquiry-based learning. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state and national science standards. Deliver engaging and interactive science instruction to middle school students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a sense of community. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to support their learning. Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate science concepts across the curriculum and participate in interdisciplinary projects. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and any concerns. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification in Science for middle school levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
