Job Description

9-12 Math/Science Teacher Reports to:
Building Principal Compensation:
Per OEA Master Contract Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, A Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with the following endorsements: Math Endorsement of EX and/or Science Endorsement of DX or DI Additional Endorsements considered for this position are:
Science:
HX, DA, DC, DE, DH or DP Math:
GQ Experience teaching high school math and/or science preferred
Position Requirements & Responsibilities:
Strong content knowledge in mathematics and/or science Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Dedication to student learning and a growth mindset approach to teaching Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners Familiarity with technology tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning. Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with state standards and meets the needs of all students Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning Assess student learning regularly and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, kindness, and a love of learning Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs Attend and participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities Ability to analyze data in order to plan for students in a MTSS model. Act as a representative of the district when greeting and interacting with parents, community members, vendors, students, and other employees.
