Responsibilities Deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons aligned with curriculum standards for middle and high school students. Develop and adapt lesson plans that incorporate various learning styles, ensuring accessibility for all students. Integrate educational technology tools and IT-based resources to enhance instructional effectiveness. Manage classroom behavior proactively to foster a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and interdisciplinary projects. Provide mentorship and academic advising to support students' personal growth and scientific interests. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents in compliance with educational regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development related to science research, laboratory techniques, and pedagogical best practices. Facilitate laboratory activities such as dissections, microbiology experiments, organic chemistry demonstrations, and genetics investigations while emphasizing safety protocols. Incorporate research laboratory experiences into the curriculum to deepen students' understanding of scientific concepts like biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, genetics, differential equations, calculus, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, discrete math, and other advanced topics. Support students from diverse cultural backgrounds by adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs. Skills Extensive knowledge of science disciplines including biology (cell biology, microbiology, genetics), chemistry (organic chemistry), physics (geometry, trigonometry), mathematics (algebra, calculus, differential equations), and related fields such as biochemistry and molecular biology. Proven experience in classroom management with the ability to motivate teenagers and foster a love for science. Strong curriculum development skills with a focus on implementing standards-based lessons that incorporate educational technology tools effectively. Laboratory experience with dissection techniques, research methodologies, safety procedures, and laboratory equipment handling. Familiarity with teaching science at middle school or high school levels within private or international school settings preferred. Ability to adapt instruction based on individual learning styles while working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Excellent communication skills for clear instruction delivery and collaboration with colleagues on lesson planning and curriculum implementation. Experience in working with standardized testing formats and preparing students for assessments confidently. Knowledge of educational compliance regulations along with experience in special education or Montessori methodologies is advantageous. Strong organizational skills for managing lesson plans, assessments, student records, and instructional materials efficiently.
