This is a non-tenure track, renewable position. Responsibilities may include teaching nonmajors courses ( such as environmental science and human biology), introductory and advanced biology courses for majors , developing an upper-level elective course in your area of expertise , advising biology majors , and service to the department, school, and university . S uccessful candidate s will have a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence . A M.S. in Biology or a closely related field is required , and a Ph.D. in biology or a closely related field is preferred. ABD would be considered. The position includes office space in our state-of-the-art science building , which houses the Departments of Biology, Chemistry , Neuroscience and Physics in the Wanek School of Natural Sciences . The Biology Department offers majors and minors in Biology and serves the University more broadly by providing courses for the general education and honors curricula.
