Position Overview:
Amherst MiddleSchoolis seeking a 5th grade STEM (Science/Math) teacher to join theirlearning community. This position is responsible for helping to design and implement rich curriculum, dynamic student-centered instruction, andperformance-based assessment ingrade 5 or 6 ofthe middle school.

Aqualified applicant will be knowledgeable in the content area standards, work studypractices, anddemonstrate acommitmentto bringing learning to life for students of all ability levels. Strong collaboration and communicationskills as well as a commitmentto their owngrowth are required in this position.
Requirements:
  • Successful experience and/or training in the field or level within the last five years
  • NHTeacherCertification in the following endorsements will be considered: ElementaryEducation(1810, 1811) or equivalent OR 5-8Science(1305)ANDMiddle Level Math (1102
  • Bachelor'sDegree orhigher
  • Demonstratedcommitment to, "Engage, Support and Challenge All Learners.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate withcolleaguesto support a positive school climate
PreferredQualifications:
  • Experience withstandards-basedgrading and competency education
  • Proficiency in creating and implementingperformance-basedassessment in the classroom
  • Demonstrated strategies for differentiation at all levels to support a Multi-Tiered System of Supports model
  • Demonstrated instructional skills at the middle school level
  • Ability toincorporatebrain-based and social emotional learning strategies into instruction
  • Enthusiastic, articulate, creative, people-oriented, and caring
  • Expert in working with middle school-aged students and their families
  • Excellent communication skills, well-developed collaborative skills and organizational skills.
