Principal and District Supervisor of Science Description:

The district anticipates the need for a leave replacement teacher to teach Science at Ramapo High School. Tentative dates are October 12 through December 23, 2026.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Biology (including topics such as cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, anatomy & physiology, and biotechnology) Design and supervise safe, inquiry-based laboratory experiments and investigations Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and respectful discussion Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction Incorporate technology, project-based learning, and real-world applications into the curriculum Participate in faculty meetings, parent conferences, professional development, and school events Maintain a safe and organized laboratory classroom environment Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must hold or be immediately eligible for NJDOE certification in Biology.

Compensation:

? Salary range is $311 to $340 per day, depending on level of experience and education. Contributory health benefits provided.
