Full-Time High School Chemistry Teacher Elite Preparatory Academy Location:
Hopatcong, New Jersey Job Type:
Full-time Salary:
$60,000-$80,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience Position Overview Elite Preparatory Academy is seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and student-centered Chemistry Teacher to join our high school faculty. The successful candidate will teach chemistry courses to students in grades 9-12 and contribute to EPA's collaborative, college-preparatory academic environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and teach high school chemistry courses Deliver engaging laboratory-based instruction Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials Maintain a safe, organized, and effective science laboratory Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback Differentiate instruction to support students with varying academic needs Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administrators Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Provide academic support outside regular class periods when needed Assist with science clubs, competitions, research projects, or related student activities Perform other reasonable faculty duties assigned by the school Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical sciences, science education, or a closely related field Strong knowledge of high school chemistry and laboratory safety Effective classroom-management and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues Commitment to supporting students in a diverse school community Authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or doctorate in chemistry, science education, or a related field Previous high school chemistry teaching experience Experience teaching Honors Chemistry or AP Chemistry Experience with science competitions, research, or project-based learning Experience working in a private, international, or boarding-school environment Compensation The annual salary range is $60,000-$80,000 , depending on education, teaching experience, certification, course responsibilities, and overall qualifications.
