The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join our faculty in August 2026. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to continue and develop a comprehensive Computer Science program that starts in middle school and culminates in AP-level courses. Your dedication to fostering computational thinking and problem-solving skills will prepare our students to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Responsibilities:

Strengthen and deepen a comprehensive Computer Science curriculum for grades 6-12, culminating in AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A. Collaborate with STEM colleagues to synchronize educational content and integrate interdisciplinary projects. Engage students in hands-on coding projects, computational thinking exercises, and problem-solving activities that foster learning and inquiry. Provide individualized support and timely feedback to promote student success. Act as an advisor, guiding students through their school journey. Maintain regular communication with families and participate in community events.

Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master's preferred. Experience in teaching at the middle or high school level is a plus, but not required. Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++). Experience or interest in coaching robotics or programming teams is highly desirable. Certification in teaching or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., UK Qualified Teacher Status) is desirable. A proactive communicator who thrives in a collaborative and high-performing educational environment.
