Job Description

Santa Fe Preparatory School seeks a full-time Chemistry/Mathematics Teacher eager to inspire students and join a professional, dynamic, and collaborative faculty. This person would be responsible for teaching 2-3 sections of Chemistry, and 1-2 sections of either Integrated III(Algebra 2) or Precalculus. Santa Fe Prep uses an integrated curriculum to prepare students for Precalculus. Prep is a diverse learning community dedicated to active inquiry and discourse. Authentic relationships, inclusive and creative pedagogy, and deep content are foundational to our purpose. The school also deeply values the ability to connect and build relationships with students with diverse learning styles and needs. A growth mindset, collegiality, flexibility, reflectiveness, and dedication to curriculum development are qualities that define the strongest candidates. Experience with visualization, problem-solving, and brain-based classroom strategies are also strongly preferred. Primary job responsibilities for full-time teachers include teaching 4-5 sections of classes. In addition, all full-time teachers lead a community service group, participate in grade-level retreats and outdoor education, advise a student club, actively contribute as members of a grade-level team, and serve as an advisor to 6-10 students per year. All teaching positions begin August 2026.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in chemistry, mathematics or a related field is required. A master's degree and three years or more of teaching experience at the secondary school level are preferred.
