Job Description

The Board of Education will accept written applications for the following anticipated position:

Biology Teacher

The High School Biology Teacher plays a critical role in advancing Learning Excellence by connecting classroom instruction to meaningful real-world career experiences that prepare students for future success. Through Respectful Relationships with students, families, employers, and community partners, and through Effective Communication across school and workplace settings, this position helps students develop the academic, professional, and interpersonal skills necessary for college, career, and life readiness. We seek an educator committed to Continuous Improvement who will expand opportunities for students, strengthen school-community partnerships, and support individualized pathways aligned to student interests, graduation goals, and workforce development needs.

This is a 10-month position that requires appropriate NYS Teacher Certification. The salary range is $49,037 to $89,059 in accordance with the current negotiated Salamanca Teachers Association (STA) contract and will be commensurate with experience. The position also includes a robust benefit package, ample professional development opportunities, and is a Student Loan Forgiveness eligible district.
