Job Description:

Qualified computer science instructors are routinely hired to fill a number of lecture and laboratory positions within the department. Duties could include teaching lecture/laboratory assignments in any of the following areas: computer software design, operating systems, networking, database (SQL), web development, computer architecture, and cybersecurity. The College is also seeking adjunct instructors with expertise in Microsoft Office computer applications. Assignments routinely include evening as well as traditional day offerings. Course assignments range from introductory offerings to 200 level course work.

Requirements:

Instructors should have a master's degree with a computer science or closely related focus. In extraordinary cases, a bachelor's degree may be sufficient to fill a vacancy. Additional Information:

This is a pooled search. Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants to teach courses in the computer science discipline. Adjunct applications will be kept on file for three years to fill part-time teaching vacancies as they occur. The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on planned courses each term; it is not possible to predict the need for future semesters. When an opening does occur, finalists for adjunct positions are contacted for interviews. Level A - $665/credit hour Level B - $785/credit hour after teaching 6 semesters at Jefferson.
