The position is a full-time, probationary appointment for an individual who is certified to teach Earth Science/Earth and Space Science. The assignment will also include General Chemistry and Forensics. Salary and benefits (health & dental) are paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association's collective bargaining agreement and are commensurate with experience. The candidate must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills, effective classroom management, and be motivated to engage in continuous professional development. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION
(S): Earth and Space Science/Earth Science (Gr 7-12) Additional Certification(s)
Preferred:
Biology 7-12, Chemistry 7-12
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must hold certification in Earth and Space/Earth Science with a preference in Biology 2. Multiple New York State Teaching Certificates in Science preferred (i.e. Earth and Space Science, Chemistry) 3. Completion of a Master's Degree is preferred 4. Experience in Co-Teaching preferred 5. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the NYS Science Standards 6.
