The ideal candidate will teach high school Science courses, including Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics , in a supportive and academically rigorous environment. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. Classes are held Monday through Thursday, with teaching assignments scheduled between 2:15 PM and 6:30 PM . Compensation ranges from $7,500 to $22,500 annually , depending on teaching load, experience, and qualifications. Average Class Size:
15-25 students Schedule Monday-Thursday Classes begin no earlier than 2:15 PM Flexible scheduling available Fridays off Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Ohio's High School Science Learning Standards. Teach assigned Science courses, which may include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Create a positive, inclusive, and academically challenging classroom environment. Utilize laboratory activities, demonstrations, technology, and hands-on learning experiences to enhance instruction. Assess student learning through assignments, projects, labs, quizzes, and examinations. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress. Provide timely feedback to students and communicate effectively with parents and guardians as needed. Maintain classroom management and discipline consistent with school policies. Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student success. Participate in professional development opportunities and remain current with best practices in Science education. Qualifications Ideal candidates will:
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Science Education, Secondary Education, or a related field. Possess or be eligible for a non-tax certificate to teach in Ohio private schools. Demonstrate strong content knowledge in one or more high school Science disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Be able to develop curriculum, units, and lessons aligned with Ohio Science standards. Maintain an organized gradebook and accurate attendance records. Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration. Work cooperatively with staff and Rabbis to support students' educational growth. Thrive in a small-school environment with class sizes of approximately 10-12 students. Preferred Qualifications Ohio teaching license in Science or a related field. Previous high school teaching experience. Familiarity with Ohio Learning Standards for Science and inquiry-based instructional practices.
