Secondary Science Position Category Teaching - High School Position Type Junior High Secondary Science Teacher Posting Start Date 6/3/2026 Posting End Date 9/1/2026 Position Start Date 8/3/2026 School District Paoli Public School City, State Paoli , OK United States Description Position Overview Paoli Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, engaging, and dedicated Science Teacher to join the Pug Nation. The ideal candidate will foster a love for scientific inquiry, implement rigorous instruction, and contribute to a supportive, high-achieving school culture. This role involves teaching junior high and/or high school science curricula, preparing students for college and career readiness through hands-on learning and data-driven instruction.
Key Responsibilities Instructional Excellence:
Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned science lessons utilizing pedagogical tools such as WICOR strategies to increase student engagement and achievement.
Data-Driven Instruction:
Utilize i-Ready benchmark assessments to monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
Classroom Culture:
Maintain a structured, positive, and rigorous learning environment consistent with the principles of Teach Like a Champion.
Student Support:
Actively participate in the school community, supporting students through academic and extracurricular growth, including participation in BOY (Beginning of Year), MOY (Middle of Year), and EOY (End of Year) achievement celebrations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the administration, fellow staff, and the community to uphold the district's mission of excellence.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related scientific field.
Certification:
Valid Oklahoma teaching certification in Science (or eligibility for reciprocity).
Experience:
Preference given to candidates with experience in utilizing formative assessments and evidence-based instructional frameworks.
