The ideal candidate is passionate about science education, committed to student growth, and skilled in delivering engaging, inquiry-based instruction aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science. Key Responsibilities Deliver rigorous, standards-based science instruction (e.g., life, physical, earth/space sciences as assigned) Design and implement hands-on, inquiry-driven lessons and labs that promote critical thinking and problem-solving Utilize data to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging laboratory/classroom environment Integrate technology and real-world applications to enhance student learning Foster a positive classroom culture that supports curiosity and academic success Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state requirements Qualifications Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Science (appropriate subject area/grade level) Strong content knowledge in science and effective instructional practices Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement Effective classroom management and communication skills Commitment to collaboration and professional growth Preferred Attributes Experience with STEM integration and project-based learning Ability to connect scientific concepts to real-world applications Experience working with diverse student populations Willingness to sponsor or support extracurricular activities (e.g., science club, robotics, academic teams) What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience and certification Comprehensive benefits package Supportive leadership and collaborative team environment Opportunities for professional growth and leadership Required Qualifications Valid OK teaching certificate or college degree.
