215110 - Biology and Integrated Science, Bus & Tech Position Summary La Salle University's Natural Sciences Department has need for a highly qualified adjunct instructor to teach biostatistics and phage genomics courses for Biology majors. These courses are currently scheduled in-person and in the daytime. For more information about the Biology department, please visit https://www.lasalle.edu/biology . Essential Duties Teach assigned course(s). Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives. Provide timely grading and feedback to students. Provide guidance and support to students. Required Qualifications Master's or PhD degree in a biology or related field. For teaching biostatistics, proficiency in the R and R Studio software environments. For teaching phage genomics, general comfort with using common genomics software tools. Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching biology courses at the college-level. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours The job requires the ability to teach lecture sections in a computer lab. The job requires movement around the classroom.
