Job Description

At The Wyndcroft School, learning is rooted in curiosity, relationships, and a deep belief in the potential of every child. As an Early Childhood - 8th independent school guided by our mission of Non Sibi ("not for oneself"), we are committed to academic excellence and to preparing students for success in high school and beyond. Our School challenges students to think critically, communicate clearly, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. We are seeking an Upper School Science Teacher (grades 6-8) who is inspired by the power of inquiry and the joy of discovery. This is an opportunity to join a kind, collaborative faculty committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that challenge, engage, and support our students. Wyndcroft teachers design classroom experiences where students ask generative questions, test ideas, and make connections between what they learn and the world beyond school. Our science teacher will lead engaging instruction for middle school students, develop a curriculum that promotes critical thinking and creativity, and partner with colleagues to support and sometimes co-create a cohesive and forward-looking STEM program. Wyndcroft teachers build strong relationships with students and their families by partnering with parents and caregivers to help our young adolescents grow with confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging. Our ideal candidate is a reflective and student-centered educator who values collaboration, communicates clearly, and brings energy to both the classroom and the broader life of the school. They are eager to contribute to a community that is both grounded in tradition and committed to thoughtful growth. If you are excited about teaching science in a school where relationships matter and learning is active and purposeful, we encourage you to explore the full position description linked here.
